Amtis is proud to be recruiting for a Data Governance Manager to join a growing team, where you'll lead the establishment and embedding of data governance across a large, complex organisation.

This is a senior, high-ownership role with real strategic influence — working closely with stakeholders at all levels to drive trust in data, raise quality standards, and build a scalable governance foundation for the business.

The role:

You'll take the lead on delivering a data governance framework across the organisation, owning the strategy and execution of governance and quality initiatives across multiple data domains, ensuring data is accurate, consistent, and fit for purpose at scale.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the implementation and ongoing evolution of a data governance framework and associated standards
  • Partnering with senior stakeholders to define data ownership, data definitions, and quality KPIs
  • Overseeing data lineage analysis and root cause identification across complex data environments
  • Driving remediation programmes to improve data quality and integrity at an organisational level
  • Leading data profiling activity to assess, assure, and continuously improve data quality
  • Defining and enforcing enterprise-wide policies around data usage, storage, and access
  • Acting as the subject matter expert for data governance, championing best practice across the business
  • Owning the development of a data catalogue and contributing to broader data strategy initiatives
  • Leading and representing governance forums, influencing the wider data agenda

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience leading data governance, data quality, or data management programmes
  • Deep understanding of data governance frameworks and principles, with a track record of implementing them at scale
  • Ability to engage with both technical teams and senior business stakeholders
  • Strong SQL skills, along with advanced Excel and Power BI
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets across multiple domains
  • Experience delivering in agile environments
