An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Digital PMO Analystwithin Aneurin Bevan University Health Board's (ABUHB) Digital, Data & Technology Directorate.

As a member of the dynamic and innovative Digital, Data & Technology Directorate, you will work within the Digital PMO team. This rolewill allow you to build on your current skills and experience and provide you with opportunities for personal and professional development.

You will work with a wide range of stakeholders from varying professions across the Health Board, other NHS and 3rd party organisations/ suppliers. If you are looking for a new challenge in a prosperous department then this role is for you.

Main duties of the job

The Digital PMO Analyst is responsible for managing the Directorate Portfolio Register and maintaining oversight of the progress of all agreed priorities of work across the Digital, Data & Technology (DDaT) Directorate, including business change and transformation activities. The Digital PMO Analyst role is integral to delivering operational effectiveness and optimising the support infrastructure for the entire portfolio of work and staff across Digital, Data & Technology.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Conducting accurate and detailed portfolio analysis, interpretation and presentation of complex data to create portfolio-level reports for the Senior Management Team, making recommendations to support effective decision-making
  • Supporting portfolio prioritisation, risk management and financial controls
  • Collaboratingwith the Head of DPMO to provide a common framework of good practice standards, tools, templates and processes
  • Contributing towards the Digital, Data & Technology IMTP and subsequent delivery in support of the Head of DPMO and Assistant Director of Digital Transformation, and in collaboration with other Senior Managers
  • Utilising specialist knowledge and expertise in Microsoft 365 products and their application to support efficient and effective portfolio management

Qualifications and Knowledge

Essential
  • Educated to Masters level or equivalent relevant experience
  • P30 Qualification or equivalent relevant experience
  • Advanced knowledge of PMO principles
Desirable
  • Prince 2 Foundation/ Practitioner

Experience

Essential
  • Experience in identifying issues and structuring problems, leading quantitative and qualitative analysis, synthesizing and developing recommendations, leading to action
  • Experience of successfully managing tasks & working with other people to ensure objectives and deadlines are met and quality maintained
  • Experience and understanding of change management, process change, information management and technology issues
Desirable
  • Broad understanding of ICT and its application to health care

Skills and Attributes

Essential
  • Advanced skills in using Microsoft 365 products (SharePoint, Power BI, Power Automate)
  • A well-developed understanding of data retrieval, data processing and information interpretation
  • Ability to prioritise work appropriately and manage a changing workload demonstrating an organised approach and an ability to meet deadlines
  • Highly motivated, with a resourceful and proactive approach
Desirable
  • Understanding the changing NHS environment and its implications for service delivery
