My client is seeking a skilled Web Experience Executive to help lead the optimisation and management of our digital platforms. This is a key role which will shape and maintain global digital presence. You will ensure our websites and digital touchpoints deliver an exceptional, accessible, and consistent experience for our audiences. You will combine critical thinking, data-driven decision-making, and hands-on management to enhance content, user journeys, and performance.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll manage content, track analytics, and deliver a first-class user experience. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the UK and internationally and play a key part in aligning our digital presence with organisational goals and values.
Reports to: Head of Digital and Communications (based in UK)
Key tasks
Digital Experience & Content Management
- Publish, update and retire content across websites and digital channels.
- Ensure brand consistency, tone of voice alignment, and compliance with accessibility standards, WCAG 2.2.
- Maintain logical site structures, intuitive navigation, and responsive layouts across devices.
- Plan and deliver evidence-based improvements that lift engagement and conversions.
- Triage, prioritise and resolve JIRA tickets, give clear updates, and meet agreed service targets.
- Monitor site quality, fix broken links and redirects, manage 404s, and raise technical issues with developers when needed.
- Create and maintain simple how to guides, short screen recordings and checklists so colleagues can self serve for common tasks.
- Train and support content editors and run quick refresher sessions for new starters or releases.
Performance & Optimisation
- Monitor and analyse site performance metrics including load speed, bounce rates, and user journeys.
- Use tools such as Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Hotjar, and PageSpeed Insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Run A/B tests and work with designers/developers to deliver data-backed enhancements.
- Optimise content and structure for both user experience and SEO.
- Use automated functional testing using frameworks such as Katalon, accessibility, and display testing using tools like Browserstack.
Essential:
Qualifications and Experience
- A-Level (or equivalent) in a relevant qualification such as IT
- GCSE (or equivalent) Grade A-C/9-4 in English and Maths
- At least 3 years’ experience managing enterprise websites or CMS environments.
- Experience with Drupal.
- Excellent written English and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms for managing and publishing content.
- Experience handling tasks such as form building, CMS patching and liaising with web developers.
- Good working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Experience working with international stakeholders and remote-first teams.
- Openness to learning new systems (such as Mautic), with past examples of adapting to emerging platforms or digital tools
Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent written English, with the ability to structure, edit and format web content clearly and consistently.
- Comfortable working with dashboards and performance metrics to guide decisions and prioritise changes.
- Ability to apply on-page SEO best practices and use insights from analytics to improve site visibility and user engagement.
- Up to date with the latest Web trends, techniques, and technologies
- Demonstrable experience gathering data, creating insights or presenting recommendations based on traffic, conversion or user activity.
- Ability to work asynchronously and remotely with UK-based and international colleagues using Microsoft Teams, email, and shared tools.
- Organised and dependable, with the ability to plan work independently and meet deadlines in a hybrid environment.
