Staff Fullstack Engineer - Remote (UK)

We’re partnered with a fast-growing, product-led technology company looking to hire a Staff Fullstack Engineer to help drive the evolution of a modern web platform used at significant scale.

This is a high-impact senior IC position focused on architecture, technical direction, and building high-quality products across both frontend and backend systems. You’ll work closely with engineering leadership and product teams to shape technical decisions, improve platform scalability, and mentor engineers across the organisation.

The environment suits someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems while still remaining hands-on with code.

The Role

You’ll operate as a senior technical leader within the engineering organisation, contributing across architecture, product development, system design, and engineering best practices.

The role is heavily focused on building and improving modern web applications and services, with a strong emphasis on product thinking, performance, maintainability, and developer experience.

You’ll be involved in:

  • Designing and building scalable fullstack applications
  • Driving architectural decisions across frontend and backend systems
  • Improving engineering standards, tooling, and development practices
  • Collaborating closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams
  • Mentoring and supporting other engineers
  • Helping shape long-term technical strategy while remaining hands-on

Tech Stack

  • Frontend: Svelte, React

What They’re Looking For:

  • Strong experience as a Senior, Staff, or Principal-level Fullstack Engineer
  • Deep frontend engineering experience with modern frameworks such as React and/or Svelte
  • Strong backend development experience with Node.js
  • Experience designing scalable, maintainable systems and architectures
  • Ability to operate with a high degree of ownership and autonomy
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Product-minded approach to engineering
