Human Resources Business Partner

We are partnering with a cutting-edge global technology business operating at the forefront of innovation, connectivity and next-generation technology. With a highly international footprint and a genuinely exciting technology agenda, this is a business where the People function is evolving alongside the organisation.

We are looking for an experienced People Partner to join the team in a broad, operational role supporting leaders and employees across the business.

This is not a traditional HRBP role. You will be close to the day-to-day people agenda, acting as a trusted advisor and escalation point for the business, while also playing an important role in the organisation's transition towards a more self-service, digitally enabled People model.

The role

You'll partner with leaders and managers across the organisation, providing practical, commercially focused advice across the full generalist people agenda.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a trusted generalist People Partner and escalation point, providing advice and support where managers or employees need additional guidance.
  • Supporting leaders with employee relations, performance, organisational change, workforce planning, talent and other day-to-day people matters.
  • Helping managers take greater ownership of people activity through a self-service model, while providing support where issues require more experienced HR intervention.
  • Supporting the implementation and adoption of new People processes, technology and ways of working.
  • Identifying opportunities to simplify processes and improve the manager and employee experience.
  • Working closely with Centres of Expertise and wider People teams, ensuring specialist support is brought in where appropriate.
  • Using people data and insight to identify trends, risks and opportunities across your business areas.
  • Supporting wider People transformation and organisational change initiatives.
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders and ensuring the People function is seen as a credible, commercially minded partner to the business.

What we're looking for

We're looking for a confident, pragmatic People professional who enjoys operating in a fast-moving and evolving environment.

You'll ideally have:

  • Strong experience in a People Partner, HRBP or equivalent generalist role.
  • A solid grounding across the generalist HR agenda, with particular strength in employee relations and manager advisory support.
  • Experience working within a self-service, shared services or digitally enabled HR operating model.
  • Experience helping managers adapt to new ways of working and take greater ownership of people processes.
  • The judgement and confidence to act as an escalation point when issues require a more experienced People Partner.
  • Experience working alongside Centres of Expertise and specialist People teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility quickly with leaders at different levels.
  • A pragmatic and solutions-focused approach, with the confidence to challenge constructively.
  • The ability to operate effectively in an organisation undergoing ongoing transformation and change.
