Application Development Support Engineer

Location: Stratford (On-site)

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000

Security Clearance Required: SC to start; must be willing to undergo MOD DV

Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for technology that makes a real-world impact? We’re looking for a Specialist Application Development Support Engineer to join a dedicated team supporting mission-critical national security and law enforcement systems.

This is a high-impact, on-site role in a secure environment, offering a unique opportunity to work across a wide range of technical domains — from infrastructure and networking to software development and virtualisation.

• Design, develop, and support bespoke applications
• Manage and maintain virtualised infrastructure
• Monitor system health and respond to incidents
• Support and administer relational databases
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across multiple technical domains
• Collaborate closely with operational end users and partner agencies

Must-Haves:

• RedHat-based Linux (CLI)
• Docker (including Docker Swarm)
• SQL & relational databases
• Windows Server 2022
• Software development fundamentals

Nice-to-Haves:

• Bash & PowerShell scripting
• NodeJS (TypeScript React)
• Golang & Python
• Elastic Stack (ELK)
