Location: Basingstoke (5 days on site)
Salary: £70,000 - £90,000

Based in Basingstoke, you’ll play a key role in designing robust, scalable, and secure network solutions for high-profile projects that truly make a difference.

What You’ll Be Doing- Designing end-to-end network solutions for medium to large-scale projects, working closely with both technical teams and project leaders.
- Collaborating with Programme and Project Managers to deliver designs across live services, change requests, and new initiatives.
- Supporting Lead Architects in translating business requirements into secure, high-performance network designs.
- Creating clear, well-structured High-Level (HLD) and Low-Level Designs (LLD) for technologies such as:
- Cisco FMC, FTD, SSM
- Juniper LAN/WAN (SRX, EX)
- Gigamon HC1, GigaVUE FM
- Endace, NTP, and Data Centre networks
- Offering guidance and troubleshooting support to engineers during implementation.
- Ensuring all designs align with governance standards and can be reviewed and approved with confidence.
- Occasionally contributing to customer-facing reports and technical documentation.
- Solid experience designing enterprise-level network solutions using leading technologies and vendors.
- A strong technical background in:
- Routing protocols, virtual routing, VPNs
- Security zoning and policy frameworks
- QoS, redundancy, and high availability principles
- Hands-on expertise configuring Cisco, Juniper, and Gigamon hardware.
- Experience working with global infrastructure or overseas deployments.
- Proficiency in designing IP address schemes and supporting network configurations.
- A logical, structured approach to solving complex technical problems.
- Strong communication skills, and the ability to work well with cross-functional teams.
- A collaborative attitude with a willingness to take ownership and make key decisions.
This position requires candidates to be eligible and willing to undergo UK Security Clearance.
