Location – Basingstoke (5 days on site)

Excellent opportunity to join a world-leading IT MSP and trusted partner to the U.K. M.O.D. As an Server Support Engineer, you’ll be part of a multi-skilled agile team supporting and maintaining secure Windows Server and virtualised environments at scale.

This is a hands-on infrastructure role involving systems administration, proactive monitoring, and implementation of approved changes to ensure optimal performance across critical platforms. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams and stakeholders, contributing to service delivery and operational excellence.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supporting Windows Server and VMware-based environments at scale
• Administering Active Directory, Group Policy, and Certificate Services
• Conducting monthly patching and license renewals
• Collaborating with stakeholders across service and security teams
• Contributing to process creation and execution for environment optimisation

What you’ll need:

• Proven experience in the above technology and tools i.e., Windows Server and VMware environments at scale, hands-on experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, certificate services, and a strong grasp of infrastructure support in secure settings.

Please note:

This Server Support engineer role requires active DV clearance to start. Candidates must be sole British citizens and eligible to undertake and maintain high-level security clearance. DV-clearable candidates are welcome and support is available for clearance onboarding.
