Role: Security Consultant

Location: UK flexible - Hybrid, with client travel

Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 DOE (+bonus & benefits)

This is a senior consulting role focused on secure design, risk, and architecture across complex transformation programmes in public sector, health, defence, and central government environments.

The employer is a global consulting and technology firm delivering large-scale security and transformation work across regulated UK markets. The team operates across strategy, design, and implementation, with exposure to leading technologies and complex stakeholder environments.

What you'll be doing?

- Design security architectures for large IT and digital transformation programmes.

- Advise on secure design, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance.

- Identify vulnerabilities in system architectures and communicate risk clearly.

- Support clients and internal stakeholders across multiple disciplines.

- Apply threat modelling and reference architecture principles.

- Work with security technologies including PAM, SSO, IDAM, network security, and encryption.

What your background will look like?

- Experience in cybersecurity, security architecture, or risk advisory.

- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, technical design, and security principles.

- Experience with public sector, defence, health, or other regulated environments.

- Knowledge of threat modelling and secure solution design.

- Hands-on exposure to network and/or cloud security preferred.

- SABSA, CISSP, or similar certification is desirable.

- Must meet BPSS and SC requirements, with British nationality and UK address history.
