Location: London (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)

Salary: Up to £53,000 + package

NOTE: Candidates must be eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC).

We’re working with a leading technology and engineering organisation delivering complex digital and data transformation projects within highly secure environments. Due to continued growth, they are looking to hire a Data Engineer to join their London-based team.

This is an opportunity to work on large-scale, data-driven programmes where modern cloud platforms, scalable data pipelines, and high-quality engineering practices are central to delivery.

As a Data Engineer, you’ll work closely with stakeholders, architects, analysts, and data scientists to design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions. You’ll play a key role in enabling organisations to process, store, and consume data effectively across a variety of business-critical projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Building, improving, and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines
  • Developing scalable and reliable data flows for downstream consumption
  • Applying software engineering and DataOps best practices
  • Working with cloud-based data infrastructure and storage solutions
  • Collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements
  • Supporting data modelling, orchestration, governance, and security practices
  • Working within Agile delivery teams across multiple projects
  • Continuously learning and adapting to evolving data engineering technologies

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years commercial experience as a Data Engineer
  • Strong SQL and Python skills
  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines
  • Understanding of data modelling, orchestration, and data management principles
  • Experience working with cloud platforms and modern data infrastructure
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across technical and business teams
  • Experience working in Agile environments

Desirable Experience

  • Exposure to DataOps or DevOps practices
  • Experience with cloud-native data services
  • Knowledge of data security and governance
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale data platforms
