Data Strategy Consultant (Defence & Security)

London – Hybrid (up to 3 days on-site)

£50,000 – £60,000 + package

Applicants must be eligible for Developed Vetting (DV). Sole British nationality is required.

We are currently recruiting for a Data Strategy Consultant to join a high-impact security consulting team working at the heart of government and critical infrastructure programmes. This role sits at the intersection of data strategy, governance, and business change, advising senior stakeholders on how to unlock value from complex data estates in highly secure environments.

What you’ll do as a Data Strategy Consultant:

• Lead the definition and delivery of data strategies, roadmaps, and operating models

• Distil ambiguous business problems into clear data-driven recommendations and plans

• Advise clients on data governance, information management, and operating frameworks

• Translate business objectives into practical data initiatives and transformation outcomes

• Engage and influence senior stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor

• Coordinate analysis across data modelling, requirements definition, and information structures

• Communicate complex data concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

Experience you’ll need as a Data Strategy Consultant:

• Proven experience in data consulting, data strategy, or information management roles

• Strong background in data governance, operating models, and organisational data maturity

• Experience working in secure, regulated, or public sector environments

• Ability to lead client conversations and influence senior stakeholders

• Comfortable operating across people, process, and business change

• High-level understanding of data architecture, data platforms, and analytics delivery

• Eligible and willing to undergo Developed Vetting (DV)

The Data Strategy Consultant: package:

• £50,000 – £60,000 base salary

• 10% annual bonus

• Additional DV bonus once cleared
