About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Delivery Manager with a strong background in public sector delivery and consultancy environments to lead the successful delivery of complex, bespoke digital services. In this role, you will ensure that our innovative, user‐centred platforms are delivered to the highest standards—meeting customer outcomes, supporting strategic goals, and maintaining rigorous governance throughout.

You will work closely with multi‐disciplinary delivery teams, helping them perform at their best while fostering a culture that aligns with our company values. As a trusted client partner, you will build strong relationships, manage expectations proactively, and contribute to ongoing account growth.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Leadership

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of bespoke software solutions, ensuring they meet user needs and agreed outcomes.
• Manage critical success factors across all workstreams and ensure robust delivery plans are in place.
• Oversee project financials including forecasting, profitability, and reporting.
• Drive value for clients by identifying opportunities to enhance their services and digital capabilities.

Team & People Management

• Motivate and empower delivery teams to perform, innovate, and grow.
• Provide structured coaching, performance management, and clear development pathways.
• Coordinate staffing, onboarding, and capability development across the team.
• Foster collaborative relationships with clients, suppliers, and third‐party partners.

Governance & Quality Assurance

• Establish and uphold strong governance frameworks and technical quality standards.
• Proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies across complex digital programmes.
• Ensure strict compliance with confidentiality, security, and data‐protection policies.

Business Development & Consultancy

• Act as a trusted consultant to public sector clients—advising on digital strategy, technology choices, and delivery approaches.
• Support account leads and sales teams during bids, procurement cycles, and proposal development.
• Promote project success stories through internal and external channels.
• Understand commercial terms and ensure contractual obligations are followed.

We’re Looking For

• Strong public sector experience, ideally having delivered digital services aligned with government standards (GDS familiarity is highly desirable).
• Background in consultancy, with the ability to manage clients, influence stakeholders, and thrive in a delivery‐focused consulting environment.
• Demonstrated success delivering complex bespoke software solutions, not just off‐the‐shelf projects.
• Expertise in Agile delivery, cross‐functional team leadership, and modern software delivery practices.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem‐solving skills.
• A people‐first leader who can motivate teams, manage performance, and champion a positive delivery culture.
