About the Role
Our client is a global consultancy supporting large-scale digital transformation across financial services. This role sits within a Customer Experience Technology team focused on evolving a cloud-based contact centre platform using Amazon Connect.
This is a hands-on engineering role where you’ll design, build, and optimise contact centre capabilities, working across AI-driven customer interactions, real-time analytics, and secure integrations into core banking systems.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing and building Amazon Connect contact flows and routing logic aligned to financial customer journeys
- Delivering new capabilities across AI-driven IVR, agent assist, and Contact Lens analytics
- Integrating AWS Connect with core banking systems, CRM platforms, and risk/fraud engines using Lambda and APIs
- Ensuring all workflows meet regulatory standards including PCI-DSS and GDPR
- Implementing secure authentication and verification flows for high-risk transactions
- Building reporting capabilities for operational, compliance, and regulatory needs
- Managing infrastructure through Terraform or CloudFormation in controlled environments
- Working closely with security, risk, and compliance teams to meet audit and governance requirements
Ideal Background
- Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Connect
- Background in contact centre engineering or CCaaS platforms
- Experience designing IVR, routing logic, and customer workflows
- Integration experience using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and REST APIs
- Proficiency in Python or Node.js
- Experience working in regulated environments (financial services, fintech, etc.)
- Knowledge of PCI-DSS, GDPR, and contact centre compliance requirements
Nice to have:
- Experience with Contact Lens (sentiment analysis, compliance monitoring)
- Exposure to FCA regulations and Consumer Duty
- Infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform or CloudFormation)
- Experience working in multi-environment AWS estates
