We’re looking for an experienced Infrastructure Architect to join a high-performing architecture team, delivering enterprise-scale solutions across complex and evolving environments.

This role offers the opportunity to work at the heart of large-scale transformation programmes, shaping infrastructure strategy, guiding delivery teams, and designing resilient, scalable, and secure platforms that power modern organisations.

The Role

As an Infrastructure Architect, you will define and lead the design of end-to-end infrastructure solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and architectural standards. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across business and technology, acting as a trusted advisor while providing technical leadership throughout the delivery lifecycle.

You will also contribute to innovation, helping to develop new services and capabilities while supporting business growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design creative infrastructure solutions that address both functional and non-functional requirements
• Define and maintain architectural roadmaps across infrastructure and platform services
• Produce clear architecture designs using industry-standard modelling techniques
• Establish and document standards, frameworks, and governance for solution delivery
• Ensure solutions are delivered in line with architectural principles and quality expectations
• Provide technical and architectural leadership across programmes and delivery teams
• Lead and mentor small teams within an architecture or CTO function
• Contribute to the development of new services, offerings, and internal capabilities
• Support business development activities, including bids and client engagements
• Contribute to thought leadership in Infrastructure Architecture and Digital Transformation

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale infrastructure solutions
• Strong knowledge of networking, data centres, physical infrastructure, and platform services
• Solid understanding of architecture principles, design patterns, and modelling tools
• Experience with integration techniques and non-functional requirements such as scalability, resilience, and security
• Hands-on technical background, ideally in systems engineering or infrastructure architecture
• Experience working with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Demonstrated experience leading technical teams from a design and delivery perspective
• Strong quality assurance mindset with the ability to assess solution completeness and quality
• Experience working in both Agile and traditional delivery environments
• Ability to review, challenge, and improve technical designs
• Experience working in regulated or sovereign environments is advantageous
