What you’ll have the Opportunity to do:
As a Lead Data Engineer, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Own and steer pricing critical data systems from a technical standpoint
- Remain highly hands on with SQL, Postgres, and Python
- Set technical direction, standards, and best practice across the data platform
- Tackle complex, high stakes data problems end to end
- Act as a technical authority on delivery decisions
- Contribute to the evolution of data and AI driven initiatives
About the Candidate
The right Lead Data Engineer should have:
- Deep experience with SQL, Postgres, and Python
- Strong background working with pricing or market driven data
- Proven ability to lead technically on complex systems
- Comfortable making architectural and design decisions
- Confident influencing direction through expertise rather than hierarchy
- Highly hands on, ownership driven, and commercially aware
Nice to Have
- Proven experience setting technical direction on complex data or pricing systems
- Comfortable making architectural and design decisions and seeing them through
- Able to guide engineers technically through reviews, pairing, and standards
- Acts as a technical authority and point of reference on tricky problems
- Experience working on business critical / revenue impacting platforms
- Strong interest in evolving platforms, including AI and advanced analytics
