Lead Microsoft Security Architect (Pre-sales)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lead Security Architect to join a high-performing Microsoft-focused consulting practice in the UK. This is a senior leadership role for a market-facing cyber security expert who combines solution architecture, business growth, sales enablement, people leadership, and delivery excellence.

The successful candidate will lead the design and delivery of complex Microsoft Security solutions for some of the UK’s largest enterprise organisations, while shaping future capabilities, expanding go-to-market offerings, and driving strategic growth across the Microsoft security portfolio.

This role is ideal for an accomplished security leader with deep expertise across Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Entra, Microsoft Purview, and Cloud Security, who thrives in client-facing environments and is passionate about innovation, transformation, and mentoring high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

• Act as a recognised subject matter expert in Microsoft Cyber Security, providing thought leadership internally and externally.
• Define and evolve strategic security offerings aligned to market demand and emerging client challenges.
• Drive business growth through innovative go-to-market propositions and scalable service offerings.
• Represent the organisation as a trusted advisor across clients, partners, and industry networks.

Sales, Solutioning & Growth

• Lead pre-sales engagements, solution shaping, bid responses, and client workshops.
• Support sales teams in identifying, qualifying, and converting Microsoft Security opportunities.
• Develop compelling end-to-end security value propositions that address enterprise risk, resilience, and compliance needs.
• Build strong senior stakeholder relationships to influence strategic decision-making.

Delivery Excellence

• Oversee successful delivery of large-scale Microsoft Security transformation programmes and managed security services.
• Provide technical and architectural leadership to security consultants, architects, and delivery teams.
• Ensure quality, consistency, and best practice across all client engagements.
• Support teams in solving complex delivery and implementation challenges.

Capability & Talent Development:

• Build future-ready security capability across architecture and delivery teams.
• Ensure teams maintain relevant certifications, technical skills, and market-leading expertise.
• Champion an inclusive, high-performance culture focused on collaboration, engagement, and retention.
• Mentor and develop emerging leaders within the practice.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Proven leadership experience in Microsoft Security Consulting, Architecture, or Managed Security Services.
• Strong knowledge of. Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Entra ,Microsoft Purview & Microsoft Cloud Security
• Demonstrable success leading enterprise-scale security transformation programmes.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in sales support, solutioning, and business growth.
• Ability to define, build, and launch new security offerings from concept to market.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with executive-level presence.
• Experience leading and developing large, distributed teams in matrix environments.
• Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
• Experience working with recognised security and compliance frameworks, including, GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2 & NIST.
• Certifications including SC-100, SC-200 and SC- 401, CISSP, CISM, CCSP, GIAC are highly desirable.
