Lead SOC Analyst

As a Lead SOC Analyst, the position will act as the escalation point for complex security incidents, driving investigations, guiding junior analysts, and ensuring effective response and remediation across critical systems.

  • Salary: £55,000 – £65,000
  • 25% shift allowance on top of base salary
  • Structured shift pattern:
  • 28-day cycle
  • 14 shifts of 12 hours
  • Combination of days and nights (3 days on / 4 days off rotation)

What You Need

To be successful in this role, candidates should bring:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in SOC, incident response, or threat analysis roles
  • Strong hands-on experience with SIEM and EDR tools
  • Deep understanding of:
  • Incident response methodologies
  • Malware behaviour and analysis
  • Threat detection and investigation techniques
  • Proven ability to:
  • Investigate and respond to high-severity security incidents
  • Correlate data across multiple sources to build incident narratives
  • Lead containment, eradication, and recovery activities
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior analysts
  • Familiarity with tuning detection rules and improving SOC processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Desirable:

  • Relevant certifications (e.g. GCIA, GCIH, CompTIA CySA+, SC-200, Splunk)
  • Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
  • Additional Requirements
  • Must be a British-born passport holder
  • Must be eligible for UK security clearance (10 years continuous UK residency required)
  • Willingness to work a 24/7 shift rotation including nights
