Python Developer (Leeds)

Role: Senior Python Developer

Work Type & Location: 1 Day Per Week in Leeds

Role Type: Permanent, £55,000 to £70,000 (DOE)

Start Date: Immediately

We are working with a leading digital consultancy, supporting a range of innovative transformation projects across both public and private sectors. They are known for delivering modern, scalable user-centred digital services that have a real-world impact.

We are looking for highly skilled Senior Python Developers to join their multidisciplinary teams, passionate about building high-quality solutions with a user-first approach. You will bring strong technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and the drive to deliver best-in-class digital services.

As a Senior Python Developer, you will:

• Act as a technical expert, designing, developing, and deploying modern cloud-native applications.

• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code for cloud deployments.

• Work with multidisciplinary teams including Product Managers, User Researchers, and Designers to build user-centric solutions.

• Present complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Support and mentor other developers to raise engineering standards across the team.

A successful Senior Python Developer will have:

• Expertise in Python development within cloud-native environments.

• Hands-on experience with AWS services (especially serverless technologies like Lambda, DynamoDB, EventBridge).

• Experience designing microservices architectures and RESTful APIs.

• Strong front-end development experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ideally React or Node.js).

• Knowledge of containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and DevOps practices.

• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (CloudFormation, Terraform).

• Experience in agile delivery environments (Scrum, Kanban, TDD).

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
