SAP SuccessFactors Manager
Role: SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll Senior Consultant / Architect
Location: London, Birmingham, or Manchester
Function: SAP HCM / Cloud Payroll Transformation
Industry: Consulting / Technology
About the Client
Our client is a global professional services organisation delivering complex digital and cloud transformation programmes across enterprise and public sector environments.
Their SAP SuccessFactors practice leads large-scale HR and payroll transformations, with particular strength in highly regulated and complex payroll environments.
About the Role
This is a Manager-level role focused specifically on Employee Central Payroll (ECP).
You will operate as the functional authority on payroll transformation programmes, leading the design and delivery of UK payroll solutions within large enterprise environments.
This is not a configuration-only position. You will own payroll workstreams end to end, influence senior stakeholders, manage delivery risk, and ensure compliance across the full lifecycle.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading the design and implementation of SAP Employee Central Payroll solutions.
- Advising clients on payroll operating models, compliance, and transformation strategy.
- Configuring payroll schemas, wage types, rules, pay statements, and calendars.
- Overseeing Payroll Control Center (PCC) configuration and parallel run testing.
- Managing integrations with Employee Central, Time Tracking, Finance, and third-party systems such as HMRC.
- Running workshops and design authority sessions with senior stakeholders.
- Leading data migration, testing strategy, and cutover planning for payroll go-lives.
- Coaching and mentoring consultants within the payroll stream.
- Ensuring delivery quality, risk management, and adherence to programme governance standards.
- Supporting pre-sales activity and contributing to practice growth.
This role carries significant accountability. Payroll delivery errors carry financial and regulatory risk. You will be expected to operate with authority and control.
Ideal Background
- Deep functional expertise in SAP Employee Central Payroll with full lifecycle implementation experience.
- Strong working knowledge of UK payroll legislation, pensions auto-enrolment, and statutory/occupational absence processes.
- Experience with Payroll Control Center and complex parallel run testing.
- Strong understanding of Time & Attendance, Finance integrations, and third-party vendor connections.
- Demonstrated experience leading payroll workstreams or small teams.
- Ability to challenge stakeholders and drive structured, compliant solutions.
- SAP Employee Central Payroll certification is essential. Additional SuccessFactors certifications are advantageous.
Big 4 or Tier 1 consulting experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
What You’ll Receive
- London salary up to £90,000.
- Outside London up to £84,000 to £85,000, with potential flexibility for strong profiles.
- Car allowance of £5,750 at Manager level.
- 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
- Private medical insurance.
- Three additional charitable leave days per year.
- Clear progression pathway toward Senior Manager.
Hybrid working is available, with client-site presence required depending on programme needs.
Who Should Apply
This role suits a payroll specialist who has moved beyond execution and now leads payroll design and delivery within complex transformation programmes.
If you are already accountable for payroll workstreams, confident in UK legislation, and capable of owning stakeholder conversations at senior level, this aligns directly.
