Senior Business Development Executive – Insurance

Location: London, hybrid

Salary: Up to £130k + uncapped commission

About the Role

An opportunity has opened for a Senior Business Development Executive to join a major global technology organisation within their Cloud & Infrastructure Services practice, focused on the Insurance sector.

This role is centred around winning new business and driving large-scale enterprise engagements across areas such as cloud, infrastructure operations, managed services, digital workspace, networks, SOC offerings and emerging AI-led capabilities.

The position would suit an experienced enterprise sales professional with a strong hunting mentality, comfortable opening doors, building pipeline and leading complex sales cycles through to close.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Originating and closing new business opportunities across Insurance clients
  • Building and managing a strong enterprise sales pipeline
  • Leading complex technology sales engagements from qualification through to close
  • Engaging senior stakeholders across business and technology functions
  • Working alongside presales, solution and delivery teams to shape opportunities
  • Selling across cloud, managed services and infrastructure-focused offerings

Key Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong enterprise new business / hunting experience
  • Experience selling cloud, infrastructure or managed services
  • Background selling into Insurance clients
  • Strong commercial and stakeholder management capability
  • Experience managing large, complex sales engagements
  • Ability to operate within large matrix organisations

This role is not suited to pure technical, architecture or presales backgrounds.
