Security Architect

Security Architect

The Role:

Hiring for a Security Architect at Associate Manager level. This role sits within a leading consulting environment delivering security architecture across high-profile government and critical national infrastructure programmes.

This is a hands-on architecture role focused on designing secure solutions rather than building them, working across complex enterprise and cloud environments. You’ll be shaping security strategy, defining architectures, and influencing delivery across large-scale transformation programmes.

The selected Security Architect will work closely with clients to embed Secure by Design principles, ensuring systems are resilient, compliant, and aligned to business objectives. This is a great opportunity for someone stepping up into a more senior, leadership-oriented architecture role.

Who is our client?

  • A globally recognised consulting organisation delivering large-scale digital transformation
  • A business working across central government, defence, and critical infrastructure
  • A company focused on innovation, architecture excellence, and secure delivery
  • A collaborative environment with clear progression into leadership roles

What the successful Security Architect can expect from their duties within the role:

  • Defining security architectures for complex enterprise and cloud-based systems
  • Producing high and low-level designs (HLDs/LLDs) aligned to business and security requirements
  • Leading architecture reviews and acting as a design authority across programmes
  • Conducting threat modelling and identifying risks within system designs
  • Providing risk-based security recommendations and mitigation strategies
  • Engaging with stakeholders to translate technical security concepts into business outcomes
  • Supporting the development of security strategy and long-term roadmaps

The successful Security Architect will have experience in this tech stack:

  • Security architecture and solution design across enterprise environments
  • Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Security frameworks (NCSC, NIST, ISO 27001, CIS)
  • Threat modelling methodologies (STRIDE, MITRE ATT&CK, etc.)
  • Secure by Design principles and architecture governance
  • Experience working across public sector, defence, or regulated environments

Some additional experience that is highly desirable but not required for this role:

  • Experience within consulting or client-facing environments
  • Exposure to DevSecOps or modern application security practices
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust or identity architecture (IAM/PAM)
  • Experience working on large-scale transformation or multi-cloud programmes

Benefits

The successful Security Architect will benefit from:

  • Performance-based bonus
  • Private medical, dental, and life insurance
  • 25 days annual leave plus public holidays
  • Clear progression pathway into leadership roles
  • Exposure to high-impact government and enterprise programmes
