AWS Cloud Engineer – Secure Government Project (DV Eligible)

📍 Gloucester (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

💰 Up to £80,000 + DV Bonus + Discretionary Bonus

A major UK defence technology organisation is hiring multiple AWS Cloud Engineers to support a new secure programme delivering cloud platforms for national security projects.

This is a strong opportunity for engineers who enjoy building and deploying AWS environments in highly secure, mission-critical settings.

The role

You’ll be working on secure AWS platforms used across government and defence environments, helping design, deploy and improve cloud infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include:

• Deploying and managing AWS environments in secure environments
• Supporting infrastructure automation and platform reliability
• Working closely with DevOps and engineering teams
• Contributing to modern cloud architecture and delivery practices

Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience deploying AWS environments
• Strong AWS knowledge (VPC, EC2, IAM, networking, security best practices)
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation or similar)
• Ability to work onsite in Gloucester 3 days per week
• Must be eligible for DV (Developed Vetting) clearance
