Location: London (2 days per week on-site)
Rate: Up to £800 per day
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect with a strong background in End-User Computing (EUC) Application Modernisation within the financial services sector. This role will focus on designing and implementing automation strategies, modernising application packaging processes, and driving CI/CD pipeline development. You will collaborate closely with IT, packaging teams, and engineering to deliver a robust self-service packaging solution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate application packaging.
- Partner with IT and engineering teams to gather requirements and ensure seamless integration.
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks for smoke, functional, and pilot tests.
- Ensure adherence to best practices and industry standards in packaging processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CI/CD and packaging workflows.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Communicate strategy to stakeholders and engage with CIO forums to identify blockers to application modernisation.
Technical Skills Required:
- Expertise in CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub, Artifactory, Power Apps, Terraform).
- Strong knowledge of application deployment for Windows OS and macOS.
- Experience with packaging solutions (Chocolatey, Home Brew, Juriba AppR).
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud).
- Skilled in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
- Knowledge of MST file creation and MSIX App Attach.
- Proficiency in device management platforms (Intune, SCCM).
- Understanding of VDI platforms and application deployment for persistent/non-persistent multi-session instances.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
