We are partnering with a major international organisation that is expanding its senior cloud leadership team in London. They are seeking an exceptional AWS Solution Architect (Senior Manager) to drive large‐scale cloud transformation programmes, define cloud strategy, and lead multi‐disciplinary teams delivering cutting‐edge cloud solutions.

What You’ll Do

As a senior leader in the cloud practice, you will:

  • Define cloud strategy and governance models for enterprise AWS adoption
  • Set cloud architecture standards aligned with complex business goals
  • Drive innovation across data, AI, security, DevOps, and multi‐cloud ecosystems
  • Lead large‐scale transformation programmes (data centre exit, legacy modernisation, cloud‐native rebuilds)
  • Ensure cloud solutions meet regulatory, security, and compliance frameworks
  • Present cloud strategies to C‐suite and steering boards
  • Mentor architects, consultants, and managers to build technical capability within the team
  • Act as a cloud evangelist, educating customers on cloud value and best practice

This role blends hands‐on architecture, strategic leadership, and stakeholder influence.

What Our Client Is Looking For

Experience

  • Extensive hands‐on experience designing and delivering AWS cloud solutions
  • Proven leadership of large transformation programmes

Certifications & Education

  • AWS Professional or Associate certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline

Architecture Expertise

Business Architecture

  • Ability to translate business requirements into secure, scalable cloud architectures
  • Skilled in cost optimisation and cloud best practices

Data & AI

  • Strong understanding of data platforms, analytics solutions, and AI/ML‐driven architectures

Application Architecture

  • Experience with serverless, microservices, and containerised workloads
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Security Architecture

  • Deep knowledge of IAM, encryption, compliance frameworks
  • Ability to enforce security controls across cloud environments

Integration Architecture

  • Knowledge of event‐driven patterns, API design, and hybrid connectivity

Non‐Functional Requirements

  • Expert in designing highly available, fault‐tolerant and resilient systems
  • Experience with observability, monitoring, disaster recovery and performance tuning

Governance & Compliance

  • Knowledge of cloud governance, cost allocation, account management, and auditing

Desirable Experience

  • AWS Specialty certifications (Security, Networking, Machine Learning)
  • Experience with Azure or Google Cloud
