About the Role
Our client is a global consulting firm operating across strategy, technology, and innovation, delivering work across a wide range of industries including government, energy, financial services, and consumer sectors.
They are hiring into their Defence & Security practice, where this role will sit. As a Sourcing & Procurement Consultant, you’ll focus on supporting Defence clients with complex procurement and supply chain challenges, helping drive value for money, improve supplier performance, and deliver large-scale sourcing programmes.
Please note: candidates must be eligible for SC (Security Clearance).
This is a delivery-focused consulting role with exposure to high-profile, nationally significant programmes.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Delivering sourcing and procurement projects within Defence & Security
- Supporting complex, high-value procurement programmes in regulated environments
- Advising on procurement transformation, operating models, and supplier strategies
- Improving supplier performance, governance, and commercial outcomes
- Leveraging data and technology to enhance sourcing processes
- Managing stakeholders across complex Defence organisations
Ideal Background
- Experience in sourcing and procurement delivery, ideally within Defence or public sector
- Understanding of regulated or complex procurement environments
- Experience supporting or delivering transformation initiatives
- Supplier management or commercial delivery experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Confident stakeholder management and communication skills
- CIPS, MCIPS, or similar qualifications are beneficial
- Consulting experience is advantageous but not essential
- Eligibility for SC clearance (typically requires 5 years UK residency history and right to work in the UK)
