As a Technical Lead – Oracle Cloud Networking, you’ll join a firm where engineering excellence and transformative cloud strategy go hand‐in‐hand. Trusted by senior leaders across government and enterprise, the organisation delivers secure, resilient, and scalable platforms built on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The role sits at the heart of this mission — shaping end‐to‐end cloud networking architectures that enable mission‐critical operations to modernise and thrive.
This is a hands‐on and highly consultative position. You’ll blend deep cloud networking knowledge with architectural leadership, working closely with technical teams, client stakeholders, and transformation leads to design, build, and integrate enterprise‐grade OCI networking. Whether leading a major cloud migration programme or guiding internal engineering squads across complex delivery, you’ll be instrumental in defining technical strategy and setting the bar for cloud engineering excellence.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Work alongside industry‐leading cloud architects, cyber engineers, and digital transformation specialists.
- Deliver secure, scalable Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) networking solutions across high‐impact programmes.
- Architect and implement core OCI networking services such as VCNs, routing, DRG, load balancers, WAF, Network Firewall, security segmentation, VPNs, peering, and zero‐trust networking.
- Support multi‐region and highly available architectures underpinning mission‐critical systems.
- Lead Infrastructure‐as‐Code delivery using Terraform and modern DevSecOps tooling.
- Shape architectural direction and engineering best practice across complex transformation engagements.
- Mentor consultants and engineers, supporting their technical growth and embedding high‐quality delivery standards.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, helping shape cloud strategy, risk posture, and delivery roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture and design of robust, secure OCI networking solutions.
- Own detailed implementation across core network services, segmentation, routing, and security architectures.
- Integrate OCI networking into broader multi‐tier cloud platforms, spanning IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and on‐prem connectivity.
- Coach cross‐functional teams and guide technical workstreams through complex cloud delivery.
- Work closely with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into cloud networking strategies.
- Oversee IaC frameworks for network provisioning, automation, and configuration management.
- Uphold cloud security principles, governance controls, and compliance requirements across delivery.
- Contribute to proposals, client pitches, and thought leadership around cloud networking best practice.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as an OCI Architect, Cloud Network Engineer, or equivalent technical leadership position.
- Strong hands‐on capability with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure networking — including VCNs, DRG, routing, load balancers, NSGs, WAF, Network Firewall, VPNs, and multi‐region design.
- Practical experience with Infrastructure‐as‐Code (Terraform, CI/CD, automation pipelines).
- Strong understanding of cloud security frameworks, zero‐trust principles, and enterprise‐grade networking.
- Experience delivering or designing cloud landing zones or enterprise cloud architectures.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions.
- Full UK working rights (no visa sponsorship) and SC Clearance or eligibility
