What You'll Be Doing
Infrastructure Engineering
- Build, maintain, and optimise enterprise-grade infrastructure platforms
- Select and implement technologies that maximise performance and efficiency
- Monitor infrastructure performance and proactively identify issues
- Use data-driven approaches to reduce MTTR and improve reliability
- Automate repetitive tasks to reduce manual effort
- Apply scripting and coding practices to drive operational efficiency
- Implement secure configurations and protect systems from vulnerabilities
- Ensure hardware, software, and data environments operate securely
- Work alongside engineers, architects, and product teams
- Align infrastructure decisions with wider business objectives
- Stay current with industry trends, tooling, and best practices
- Contribute to internal technology communities
Essential
- Strong experience installing, maintaining, and upgrading IBM DB2 and related tools (DB2 CA, DB2 Connect, Data Studio)
- Solid knowledge of TSO, JCL, REXX, SQL and core mainframe OS tools
- Several years of hands-on DB2 systems programming experience
- Strong understanding of performance tuning and monitoring
- Experience with DevOps tooling (VS Code, Db2 Developer Extensions)
- Exposure to z/OSMF
- Familiarity with Broadcom and IBM Db2 tools
- Knowledge of Db2 internals and RACF security
