Business Development Representative

Introduction

Anvil Analytical are looking for a Business Development Manager to sit between marketing activity and senior sales, with responsibility for converting early-stage interest into qualified opportunities.

This role focuses on structured, targeted outreach across warm leads, defined accounts, and partner channels. The objective is to generate high-quality conversations and shape them into opportunities ready to be progressed by senior sales.

Role responsibilities

Warm lead conversion

  • Own follow-up of marketing-generated leads within HubSpot
  • Engage promptly with prospects following campaigns, events, and inbound activity
  • Progress conversations toward:
  • a defined use case
  • a confirmed meeting
  • Maintain disciplined tracking of activity, status, and next steps

Target account outreach

  • Focus on relevant personas from existing data (e.g. procurement, transformation, analytics)
  • Run structured call campaigns supported by LinkedIn and email
  • Tailor messaging to specific use cases and market context

Post/pre-event and conference follow-up

  • Own engagement both before and after events and conferences
  • Reconnect with contacts where initial momentum has been lost
  • Move discussions back towards a clear next step and defined opportunity

Partner development outreach

  • Identify and engage potential partners (consultancies, advisory firms, complementary providers)
  • Introduce Anvil’s proposition in a commercially relevant way

Marketing alignment

  • Work closely with marketing on active campaign themes and priorities
  • Align outreach with:
  • current messaging
  • target industries
  • priority use cases
  • Provide feedback on market response and engagement quality

Geographic expansion support

  • Support targeted growth in priority geographies
  • Build and execute outreach plans aligned to specific market pushes

How the role operates

  • Acts as a bridge between marketing activity and senior sales
  • Focuses on progressing early-stage engagement into qualified opportunities
  • Hands off opportunities once there is:
  • a clear use case
  • appropriate stakeholder engagement
  • Works closely with the Head of Sales on prioritisation, messaging, and targeting

Profile

  • Experience in B2B business development or inside sales within a SaaS B2B environment preferable
  • Comfortable engaging senior stakeholders through calls, LinkedIn, and email
  • Able to combine structured activity with sound commercial judgement
  • Strong communication skills with a credible, professional tone
  • Experience using CRM and data tools (e.g. HubSpot, Cognism) preferred
