What the day will look like
Your days will be varied but will likely include:
- Working on developing our product by writing code, testing, debugging, analysing, reviewing and all other aspects of the software development lifecycle
- Working with other developers, actuaries, devops and other teams to ensure successful delivery of software
- Providing support to both internal and external stakeholders
- Supporting and potentially leading product deployments
- Contributing to architecture, process and quality improvement discussions
- Engaging in ongoing professional development

Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Strong communication – both technical and non-technical
- Problem solving – digging into the why
- Adaptability – open to new tech as the stack evolves
- NET Backend web development
- SQL Server / Azure SQL
- Unit testing, e.g. xUnit
- Security & authentication
Good to have:
- Experience leading or guiding junior colleagues
- Containerised application development
- Cloud (Azure or equivalent)
- Scalable deployment experience
- Modern UI web framework experience (Angular or equivalent)
- Distributed message queue
- System / E2E testing
