Application Support Specialist
The Role
We’re looking for an Application Support Specialist to join our client’s growing team, supporting a key web-based business application with a SQL Server back-end. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring users get the most from the system, providing high-quality technical support, and helping to maintain the smooth operation of a business-critical platform.
Your Key Responsibilities- Provide second-line support for a web-based application, investigating and resolving user issues promptly.
- Recreate, diagnose, and document reported issues to assist development teams with fixes and improvements.
- Liaise with internal teams and external vendors to ensure swift issue resolution.
- Maintain and improve support documentation and knowledge base materials.
- Monitor application performance and proactively identify potential issues.
- Contribute ideas and feedback to improve the system and user experience.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in delivering exceptional service quality and enjoys really getting to know the application — understanding how it works inside out so you can replicate and solve complex issues.
You’ll likely have:
- Experience supporting web-based applications in a production environment.
- Basic knowledge of SQL Server.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A proactive, methodical approach and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Familiarity with IIS, APIs, or cloud-hosted web applications.
- Understanding of software development or testing processes.
- Experience with ticketing or service management tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
- Opportunity to work on a mission-critical application that makes a real impact.
- A culture that values quality, curiosity, and continuous learning.
- Supportive environment where your expertise will be appreciated and developed.
Please note that due to the volume of applications, we can only respond to this that match our requirements.
