IT Manager
Are you an IT professional who enjoys solving problems, embracing new technology, and making a real impact?
We're recruiting for an experienced IT Manager to join an innovative, technology-driven creative business based in London. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of IT across a fast-paced organisation where technology is fundamental to business success.
Working closely with the CTO, you'll lead the day-to-day IT function while helping shape the future technology strategy. From supporting users and strengthening cybersecurity to driving automation and enabling AI adoption, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering a modern, secure and highly effective IT environment.
This is a genuine hands-on leadership position. You'll be equally comfortable resolving a technical issue for a colleague as you are presenting technology improvements to senior leadership or implementing innovative AI solutions.
The Role
You'll take ownership of the IT environment, ensuring systems remain secure, reliable and scalable. Responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing the day-to-day IT function.
- Providing hands-on 1st and 2nd line support across hardware, software and business applications.
- Managing Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, creative software, devices, onboarding and offboarding.
- Working closely with an external IT infrastructure partner to deliver projects, manage suppliers and maintain exceptional service levels.
- Supporting global teams and helping standardise IT systems and processes across multiple offices.
- Driving automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes.
- Supporting the delivery of the organisation's AI strategy by introducing secure, practical AI solutions that enhance productivity.
- Maintaining a strong cybersecurity posture, including identity and access management, endpoint security, GDPR compliance and user awareness training.
- Managing SaaS platforms, software licensing and business system integrations.
- Maintaining IT documentation, disaster recovery plans and business continuity processes.
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys ownership, thrives on variety and is excited by emerging technology. You don't need to have done everything before—we're more interested in someone who is curious, adaptable and passionate about continuous improvement.
You'll ideally have:
- 5+ years' experience in a broad IT support, infrastructure or IT management role.
- Experience supporting creative, design, architectural, engineering or technology-led businesses.
- Strong Google Workspace administration experience.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 environments.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience working with Managed Service Providers (MSPs).
- A track record of improving systems, introducing automation and delivering operational efficiencies.
- Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude to improve ways of working.
- Professional certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco or AWS would be advantageous but are not essential.
What We Need
- Loves solving technical problems.
- Enjoys helping people and delivering an outstanding user experience.
- Takes ownership and delivers solutions.
- Is naturally curious and enjoys learning new technologies.
- Keeps up to date with emerging technology, cybersecurity and AI.
- Can communicate confidently with technical teams, creative professionals and senior stakeholders.
- Enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on technical delivery.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation where technology is seen as a key driver of innovation and growth. You'll have the autonomy to influence the IT roadmap, champion AI adoption, improve business systems and make a genuine impact across the organisation.
If you're looking for a varied role where no two days are the same and where you can combine technical expertise with strategic thinking, we'd love to hear from you.
