Junior Mac Support Specialist
Are you looking to kickstart your career in IT and have a genuine interest in Apple and Mac technology?
We’re working with a specialist Managed Service Provider (MSP) that delivers Mac and Apple-focused IT support services to a range of clients. They are looking for a Junior Mac Support Engineer to join their team and develop their technical career within a supportive and friendly environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their IT career who may have some hands-on experience with Macs, either professionally, through education, or simply from having a strong interest in Apple technology.
The Role
You’ll be joining a team providing day-to-day technical support across a Mac-focused environment. Initially, you’ll be working alongside more experienced engineers, learning how to troubleshoot issues, support users and understand the technologies used within a professional MSP environment.
You don't need to know everything from day one — the right attitude and willingness to learn are far more important.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing first-line support to Mac and Apple users
- Troubleshooting basic Mac hardware and software issues
- Setting up and configuring Mac devices
- Assisting with user accounts, applications and access
- Supporting Apple devices and associated technologies
- Logging and managing support tickets
- Escalating more complex technical issues to senior engineers
- Learning MSP processes, tools and best practices
- Providing a friendly, professional service to clients and their users
Your Skills and Experience
We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic about technology and keen to build a career in IT.
You might be a recent graduate, college leaver, someone with some informal IT experience, or simply someone who has developed a good understanding of Macs and wants to turn that interest into a career.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Some knowledge or experience of Mac / Apple technology
- A genuine interest in developing your IT career
- Excellent communication and people skills
- A friendly, approachable and professional manner
- Good problem-solving skills
- The ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users
- A willingness to learn and take direction
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- A positive attitude and a desire to progress
Apple/Mac certifications are not essential — training and development will be provided for the right person.
Why Apply?
This is a fantastic opportunity to get your foot in the door of a specialist Mac-focused MSP and build a career in a growing area of IT support.
You'll have the opportunity to learn from experienced engineers, gain exposure to professional Apple environments and develop your technical skills with a clear pathway to progress into more senior Mac Support roles.
If you're technically curious, great with people and hungry to learn, this could be the perfect first step in your IT career.
Apply now to start building your career in Mac and Apple support.
