Solutions Architect

A leading UK MSP delivering secure cloud, infrastructure and managed services to mid-market and public sector clients seeks an SC-cleared Solutions Architect to design resilient, compliant architectures for complex customer environments. This role drives pre-sales and delivery for Azure/AWS migrations, NOC integrations and hybrid workloads in a high-growth consultancy.?

Hybrid (South East / Central London base), you will lead solution design from RFP through to deployment, ensuring zero-trust security, scalability and TCO optimisation across MSP service towers. Leverage your defence/MSP background to architect for cleared clients requiring SC compliance and 24/7 NOC support.?

• Capture client requirements via workshops, crafting HLDs/LDLs for cloud-native (Azure/AWS), hybrid infra, SD-WAN and managed security solutions.?
• Design secure, compliant architectures with zero-trust, IAM, endpoint protection and SIEM integrations for SC-cleared environments.?
• Support pre-sales with TCO models, PoCs and RFI responses; collaborate with delivery teams on migrations, automation and NOC handovers.?
• Embed MSP best practices (ITIL, TOGAF) ensuring designs align to SLAs, regulatory standards (NCSC, ISO27001) and vendor ecosystems.?
• Mentor junior architects, contribute to service catalogue evolution and conduct design reviews for risk/threat modelling.?
• Drive innovation in AIOps, edge computing and sustainability-focused infra for defence-adjacent clients.?

Essential:

• Active SC clearance with 7+ years as Solutions Architect in MSP/consultancy for critical workloads (defence/public sector).?
• Expert in Azure/AWS (Solutions Architect Professional), hybrid cloud, networking (Cisco/Juniper), IAM and automation (Terraform/ARM).?
• Proven pre-sales/delivery track record with stakeholder engagement, TOGAF and secure design principles.?

Desirable:

• NOC/OT experience (SCADA/telemetry); defence sector delivery with BPSS/SC projects.?

£85,000–£95,000 base + 20% bonus, 25 days holiday + buy/sell, hybrid flex (2-3 days onsite), private medical, pension 6%, EV lease, clearance retention and MSP certification budget.
