The work you deliver today will influence how one of the world's most significant defence programmes operates for years to come.

Our client is supporting the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP) and is seeking an experienced transformation consultant to help shape the future Digital Function supporting the programme through improved operating models, governance, organisational effectiveness and business change.

Working within a highly secure and complex environment, you'll support Digital Leadership in improving how digital capabilities are organised, prioritised, governed and delivered across multiple value streams supporting a large-scale engineering and technology ecosystem.

This is not a traditional project or programme management position.

The role focuses on operating models, governance, benefits realisation, organisational effectiveness and helping a Digital Function mature in support of one of the UK's most strategically important defence initiatives.

Your responsibilities

• Support the delivery of strategic transformation initiatives across the Digital Function.
• Support the implementation and adoption of Digital Operating Models.
• Develop and improve governance frameworks, reporting structures and delivery processes.
• Contribute to organisational design, workforce planning and demand management activities.
• Support value streams and delivery teams through improved portfolio visibility and decision-making.
• Implement and enhance benefits management and benefits realisation frameworks.
• Drive stakeholder engagement and organisational change activity.
• Support the adoption of Agile and modern ways of working.
• Align delivery activity with wider programme objectives and Digital Leadership priorities.

What we’re looking for

• Experience operating within large-scale digital transformation, engineering or organisational change environments.
• Strong knowledge of operating model design, governance and organisational effectiveness.
• Experience with benefits management, benefits realisation and value tracking.
• Familiarity with portfolio visibility, prioritisation, executive reporting and decision support.
• Ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
• Experience supporting large engineering, technology, Defence or Government organisations.

• Active SC Clearance (DV advantageous)
• Sole British National
• Hybrid working (Reading and remote)
• Available to start by September
