Role Overview

Apexon is seeking an experienced and Senior Program Manager to lead and deliver complex, cross-functional programs within the life sciences / pharmaceutical domain. This role will drive Cloud, Digital and Data initiatives focused on AI-enabled solutions leveraging Agile delivery models, and full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) execution.

The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of business acumen, technical understanding, and program leadership experience, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and ensure successful delivery of high-impact digital initiatives.

This role will operate at the intersection of business, technology, and data, working closely with technology and business stakeholders while remaining deeply involved in execution. The ideal candidate is a high-ownership leader who is hands-on, can navigate ambiguity, influence without authority, and bring structure to evolving program landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive one or more large-scale programs, with visibility and reporting into senior client leadership
• Act as a hands-on program executive, balancing strategic oversight with active involvement in tactical execution
• Lead AI-led digital transformation initiatives across enterprise functions within the life sciences domain
• Collaborate closely with CXOs and senior stakeholders, both globally and within India captive teams
• Orchestrate cross-functional teams across business, engineering, and data organizations
• Manage onshore and offshore delivery teams, ensuring alignment, velocity, and quality of outcomes
• Bring clarity and structure to ambiguous scope and evolving requirements
• Influence stakeholders and drive decisions without formal authority
• Establish strong program governance, communication cadence, and executive reporting
• Drive adoption of Agile methodologies and ensure adherence to SDLC best practices
• Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks, and lead resolution efforts
• Foster collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement across teams

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or related field
• 8–12 years of experience in program/project management within digital or IT transformation
• Strong experience within the life sciences / pharmaceutical domain, with exposure to multiple business functions
• Proven track record of delivering enterprise AI / data-driven programs
• Experience leading AI-led digital transformation initiatives
• Demonstrated ability to engage with CXO-level stakeholders and drive alignment
• Experience working with global teams and India captive/offshore models
• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks and SDLC lifecycle
• Exceptional communication, executive presence, and influencing skills
• Proven ability to solve problems proactively in ambiguous environments

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or Agile certifications
• Exposure to AWS cloud ecosystems modern data platforms
• Experience in regulated environments (e.g., GxP compliance)
• Background in consulting or client-facing program delivery
