DevOps Engineer Bristol (Hybrid) | 60,000-70,000 DOEWe’re looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join a growing technology team, helping to build, maintain and enhance the cloud infrastructure behind an innovative SaaS platform.Working closely with software engineers and reporting to the Infrastructure Lead, you’ll play a key role in ensuring systems are secure, scalable, reliable and efficient, while enabling teams to deliver high-quality software quickly and confidently.The RoleAs a DevOps Engineer, you’ll take ownership of cloud infrastructure and deployment processes, using modern DevOps practices and tooling to drive reliability, automation and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and optimise AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring security, performance and cost efficiencyBuild, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitLabDevelop and manage Infrastructure as Code using TerraformCollaborate with development teams to streamline deployments and improve the developer experienceMonitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and implement long-term reliability improvementsPromote infrastructure security best practices, including IAM, secrets management and network securitySupport and maintain development, testing and production environmentsContribute to disaster recovery, backup and business continuity planningEvaluate and introduce new DevOps tools and technologies where beneficialUtilise AI-assisted engineering tools to improve automation, productivity and delivery speedSkills & Experience3+ years’ experience in a DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering positionStrong knowledge of AWS services and cloud infrastructure managementHands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principlesExperience building and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelinesKnowledge of containerisation technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms such as ECSExperience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g. CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus)Strong understanding of security best practices and cloud governanceExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExperience using AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering workflowsWhat’s on Offer Salary of 60,000-70,000 depending on experienceHybrid working model based around BristolFlexible working hours25 days annual leave plus bank holidaysBirthday off each yearCompany pension schemeOngoing training and career development opportunitiesSupportive, collaborative and innovative working environmentIf you’re passionate about cloud infrastructure, automation and modern DevOps practices, we’d love to hear from you.Reasonable Adjustments:Respect and equality are core values to us.
