Electrical Design EngineerLocation: County TyroneJob Type: Full-time, PermanentIndustry: Engineering / ManufacturingWhat's in it for you 40,000 - 55,000 basic salary depending on experience10% annual bonusExcellent pension and wider benefits packageMonday to Friday permanent positionOpportunity to work on complex electrical systems and engineered productsExcellent career development and progression opportunitiesHN12145Company and Role of Electrical Design EngineerVickerstock are working with an established and successful engineering and manufacturing business in the recruitment of experienced Electrical Design Engineers for their County Tyrone operation.This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer who wants to take on a technically interesting role within a strong engineering environment, working on the electrical design and continued development of complex manufactured equipment.We are particularly interested in speaking with experienced Electrical Design Engineers who enjoy taking ownership of their designs and working closely with other engineering disciplines and manufacturing to take designs from initial requirements through to completed product.The position will give you responsibility across electrical system design, schematics, component selection, technical documentation, design improvements and practical engineering problem solving, while working closely with Mechanical Design, Production and the wider Engineering team.Key Responsibilities for this Electrical Design Engineer positionDesign and develop electrical systems for complex manufactured equipmentProduce electrical schematics, drawings and associated technical documentationSpecify and select electrical components and equipmentDevelop and modify existing electrical designs to support product improvementsWork closely with Mechanical Design Engineers to ensure effective integration of electrical and mechanical systemsProvide technical support to Manufacturing during build, assembly and testingInvestigate and resolve electrical design and production-related engineering issuesEnsure designs meet relevant technical, safety and quality requirementsSupport engineering changes and maintain accurate design documentationContribute to new product development and Continuous Improvement activitiesWork with suppliers and internal departments on technical requirements where requiredEssential Criteria for this Electrical Design Engineer positionPrevious experience within Electrical Design EngineeringExperience designing electrical systems for machinery, equipment or another manufactured productAbility to produce and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawingsGood understanding of electrical components, control systems and practical electrical engineeringExperience using electrical design / CAD softwareA third-level qualification within Electrical / Electronic Engineering or another relatable Engineering disciplineStrong technical problem-solving and communication skillsExperience within machinery, heavy engineering, automated equipment, mobile equipment, material handling or another complex manufacturing environment would be particularly relevant, although we are open to experienced Electrical Design Engineers from other manufacturing sectors.This position would particularly suit an Electrical Design Engineer, Senior Electrical Design Engineer, Electrical Systems Engineer or Electrical Controls Engineer who wants to take on greater technical responsibility within a well-established engineering environment.To apply for this Electrical Design Engineer position, please submit your CV or contact Hugh Nugent at Vickerstock for a confidential discussion.
