This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the way housing asset information is collected, managed and utilised to support strategic investment decisions across a substantial residential portfolio.Working closely with the Housing Asset Surveyor and wider Property Services team, you will help ensure that accurate, reliable and accessible property data underpins the council's asset management, compliance and capital investment programmes.Your new roleAs Housing Asset Data Manager, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining and developing the council's housing asset data systems. You will oversee the quality and integrity of stock condition, compliance and property information, ensuring data is accurate, up to date and capable of supporting effective decision-making.You will work closely with surveying colleagues to analyse stock condition data, maintain asset management databases, produce performance reports and develop meaningful insights that inform investment planning and service delivery.The role will also focus on improving data quality, streamlining reporting processes and supporting the ongoing development of asset management systems and business intelligence tools.What you'll need to succeedExperience managing housing asset, property or compliance-related data within a local authority, housing association or similar environment.Strong understanding of asset management principles and property data management.Advanced Excel skills and experience using Power BI, SQL or similar reporting and business intelligence tools.Experience managing large datasets, reporting systems and asset databases.Ability to analyse complex information and present clear, actionable insights.Experience developing dashboards, performance reports and management information.Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to work collaboratively with surveyors, asset managers and operational teams.DesirableExperience working with asset management software such as Keystone, MRI, Civica, Northgate, Orchard or similar.Understanding of stock condition surveys, planned maintenance programmes and housing compliance requirements.Knowledge of EPC and property asset data management.Experience supporting data-driven asset investment planning.What you'll get in returnSalary of 52,000 - 54,000 per annum.Membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme with generous employer contributions.Excellent annual leave entitlement.Flexible and hybrid working arrangements.Ongoing professional development and training opportunities.Opportunity to directly influence housing investment decisions across a significant residential portfolio.A supportive and progressive working environment committed to improving housing services for residents.What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
