Site ENG | Job-ID: 220707 | Contract type: Standard | Business Unit: OthersLife on the teamAs an Inventory Controller you’ll be responsible for the accurate and efficient management of IT equipment throughout its lifecycle. You’ll ensure assets are received, stored, tracked, deployed, returned and disposed of in line with agreed processes, security requirements and service levels.You’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate inventory, supporting day-to-day service delivery and ensuring all equipment remains secure and fully accountable.What you’ll doManage the receipt, storage, allocation, deployment and return of IT equipmentMaintain accurate asset and inventory recordsCarry out stock checks and investigate discrepanciesMonitor stock levels and ensure equipment is available for service requirementsManage secure dispatches, returns and vendor repairsAssess equipment for redeployment, repair or end-of-life disposalEnsure all assets are handled securely and in line with data protection requirementsRespond to asset queries and work with Service Management and technical teamsHighlight asset discrepancies, security concerns and process issuesSupport audits and continuous improvement activitiesWhat you’ll needExperience in IT asset management, stock control, logistics, stores or desktop technologyStrong organisational skills and attention to detailGood Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and data reconciliationExperience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or RemedyGood knowledge of IT hardware and desktop technologyStrong communication and customer service skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and work to SLAsUnderstanding of asset accountability, inventory control and data securityFlexible, proactive approach with the ability to work in a fast-paced environmentAdditional informationCountry: UKLocation: London (Hybrid-Working)Hours: 37.5Role Type: PermanentAbout usComputacenter is a leading independent provider of IT infrastructure services, with about 21,000 employees worldwide.
