Job DescriptionWhat is the opportunity You will be responsible for making sure every price, security, fund, broker, and benchmark record we rely on is accurate, complete, and on time. This data underpins trading, NAV calculations, client reporting, and regulatory filings, so the quality bar is high and the work is genuinely consequential.This is as much a people-leadership role as a technical one. The team is capable and fully staffed having recently had some turnover. Your first and most important job is to bring them together: to help talented people across two locations gel into a close, connected team with a shared sense of purpose and a common way of working. From that foundation, you'll build on the strong operational base already in place, driving the operational excellence, process improvement, and governance that the role also demands.Should you be shortlisted, do please let us know if you have any specific requirements for the interview.This is a permanent, full-time role and requires 4 days in the office at our 100 Bishopsgate, London office.What will you do Bring the team togetherHelp a group of Senior Data Analysts and Data Analysts, across London and Stamford, grow into a close-knit team with a shared identity, clear norms, and genuine trustBuild the connections that let knowledge flow both ways, so everyone feels part of one groupKeep both locations equally connected and visible, one team, two desks, with London and Stamford working as genuine partnersSustain and strengthen the everyday rhythm that keeps a team close: regular 1:1s, clear priorities, shared handovers, and consistent follow-throughCoach and develop each person, run real career conversations and performance reviews, and build a collaborative, continuous-improvement cultureOwn pricing and reference data operationsOversee daily pricing operations for bonds, derivatives, equities, and loans across the IVP Price Master and market data platforms (Bloomberg, Pricing Direct, ICE Data Services, Refinitiv, S&P)Ensure timely, accurate maintenance of security, fund, broker, benchmark, and reference data across key systems (IVP Security Master, SimCorp Dimension, Charles River, Wall Street Office)Monitor and resolve escalated pricing and reference data issues, and act as the primary escalation point for the functionMaintain and improve data quality standards and controls, and provide input on tooling, systems, and vendor servicesAssign and balance workload so capacity matches business demand, and protects the team from unmanaged, ill-sequenced urgencyDrive improvement and manage riskLead process improvement and automation initiatives using Python, SQL, and generative AIIdentify and implement control enhancements that reduce operational and regulatory riskLead system upgrade projects and assess the downstream impact of data and process changesMaintain team documentation, procedures, and best practicesEnsure compliance with valuation policies and regulatory requirements, and coordinate audit and regulatory responses related to pricing and reference dataManage stakeholders and communicationBuild strong working relationships across Investment Desks, Operations, Client Reporting, Fund Accounting, Risk/Performance & Attribution, and IT DevelopmentCoordinate with internal teams on new initiatives to ensure data flows and translations stay correctProvide regular, clear updates and management reporting to senior leadershipWhat do you need to succeed Must-haveExperience in asset management, including at least 2 years in reference data, or middle-office operationsProven people-management experience, building team cohesion, coaching, performance management, and team development, ideally across more than one locationStrong Excel skills and strong data analysis capabilitiesWorking proficiency in Python and SQL for analysis and process automationPractical experience using generative AI to drive efficiencyExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsNice-to-haveDegree in STEM or FinanceExperience with security mastering systems (IVP, SimCorp, Charles River)Familiarity with fund valuation regulatory frameworks (e.g., AIFMD/UCITS)Project management experienceExperience uniting or integrating a team across multiple sites or time zonesWhat is in it for you We thrive on the challenge to be our best - progressive thinking to keep growing and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
