This senior role will lead the development of charging features for next-generation battery-inverter technology, supporting innovative solutions across the electric mobility sector.Key Responsibilities:Lead the development of charging features using Model-Based Systems Engineering practicesDecompose and analyse stakeholder requirements into detailed technical requirements for hardware and software teamsProvide technical expertise in AC and DC electric vehicle charging, including vehicle-to-grid functionalityWork closely with systems, hardware, software and test engineers to deliver integrated featuresContribute to system engineering interfaces with hardware and software design teamsPerform system and design-level FMEA activities, including S-FMEA and D-FMEABuild SysML models and diagrams using the Enterprise Architect toolchainSupport compliance with environmental, health and safety, quality and engineering standardsJob Requirements:Degree-level qualification in engineering, mathematics, physics or another relevant technical disciplineSignificant experience in systems engineering within the automotive, engineering or electrification sectorTechnical experience in high-voltage charging systems and electric vehicle charging pointsStrong understanding of power electronics, including DC-DC conversionKnowledge of AC and DC charging architectures and vehicle-to-grid technologyExperience with MBSE modelling and the transition of system models into hardware and software developmentProficiency with SysML and Enterprise Architect, or a similar systems engineering toolchainUnderstanding of system-level FMEA, requirements analysis and cross-functional technical deliveryPersonal Attributes:Self-motivated, creative and adaptable, with a collaborative approach to engineeringStrong problem-solving, analytical and systems-thinking abilitiesExcellent presentation, report writing and communication skillsAbility to prioritise and organise project workloads, schedules and technical tasksComfortable working under delivery pressure while maintaining a high standard of qualityMotivated by the development of innovative, industry-leading electric mobility technologiesBenefits:Permanent opportunity within a forward-thinking automotive engineering environmentOpportunity to contribute to next-generation battery, inverter and charging technologyCollaborative work with multidisciplinary systems, hardware, software and test engineering teamsScope for professional development and involvement in technically challenging projectsIf you are an experienced systems engineer with expertise in electric vehicle charging and power electronics, apply now to help shape innovative solutions for the future of electric mobility.
