They are looking for an experienced Professional Services Engineer to join their Projects and Professional Services team, delivering and implementing enterprise backup and data protection solutions for customers from initial design through to completion.This is not a BAU backup administration role. They need someone with several years of hands-on deployment and implementation experience who is comfortable taking ownership of customer-facing technical projects.Key ResponsibilitiesLead technical delivery across SMB and enterprise customer projectsDeploy and implement enterprise backup and data protection solutionsWork with customers to implement agreed solution designsTroubleshoot complex technical issues during implementationsManage escalations with vendor support and engineering teamsProduce HLDs, LLDs, as-built documentation and other technical documentationAct as a technical point of escalation internally and externallySupport Account Managers and Technical Pre-Sales where requiredTake ownership of customer projects through to successful completionKey RequirementsStrong hands-on experience deploying and implementing enterprise backup and data protection solutionsExperience with technologies such as Commvault, NetBackup, Veeam, Rubrik, Druva or ZertoPrevious Professional Services or customer-facing technical delivery experienceExperience delivering solutions from design through to implementationComfortable independently owning technical deployments and customer projectsStrong troubleshooting capabilityExperience working with Statements of Work, HLDs, LLDs and technical documentationStrong customer-facing communication skills with both technical and business stakeholdersGood understanding of wider infrastructure including networking fundamentals, DNS, datacentres and virtualisationExposure to VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix, Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365, Linux or PowerShell would be beneficialBenefits include investment in training and development, 25 days' holiday plus an additional day for your birthday, early Friday finishes in July, enhanced maternity and paternity policies, holiday carry-over options and health insurance.This opportunity would suit an experienced Backup, Data Protection or Professional Services Engineer who wants to remain technically hands-on while taking ownership of enterprise customer deployments.Apply now to speak with VIQU IT in confidence, or contact Aaron via the VIQU website.Know someone great?
