Project descriptionWe are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong track record of delivering change within the Avaloq core banking platform to join our Change & Transformation function. You will lead end-to-end delivery of technology and business change initiatives across our Banking and Wealth Management divisions, managing project scope, budget, risk, and stakeholders from initiation through to successful go-live.ResponsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesLead the planning, execution, and delivery of Avaloq-related projects across Wealth Management, Private Banking, and OperationsOwn project governance, including project plans, RAID logs, budgets, resource allocation, and status reporting to steering committees and senior stakeholdersManage the full project lifecycle for Avaloq implementations, upgrades, migrations, and parameterisation changesCoordinate cross-functional teams including business analysts, developers, QA/testers, and Avaloq vendor consultantsAct as the primary point of contact with Avaloq (vendor) project teams, managing scope, timelines, and deliverables against contractual commitmentsManage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests, escalating appropriatelyDrive delivery of regulatory and compliance-related change (e.g. MiFID II, SM&CR, Consumer Duty) impacting the Avaloq platformOversee UAT planning and execution, release management, and cutover/go-live activitiesManage project budgets and forecasts, tracking spend against approved business casesEnsure robust change management and business readiness, including training and communication plans for impacted stakeholdersProvide clear, concise reporting to senior management, Programme Boards, and Steering CommitteesEnsure projects are delivered in line with governance standards, methodology, and audit/compliance requirementsSkillsMust haveProven experience (10+ years) as a Project Manager delivering change within Banking or Wealth ManagementHands-on project delivery experience with the Avaloq Banking Suite (implementation, upgrade, migration, or configuration projects)Strong understanding of Wealth Management and Private Banking operations (portfolio management, client onboarding, KYC/AML, custody, trade execution, reporting)Demonstrable experience managing full project lifecycles, including budgets typically in the six-to-seven figure rangeStrong stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to senior business and technology leadershipExperience managing third-party vendors and system integrators, ideally including AvaloqSolid understanding of core banking, securities processing, and financial productsExperience managing UAT, release, and cutover/go-live activities for core banking system changesStrong risk, issue, and dependency management skillsFamiliarity with UK regulatory frameworks affecting wealth and private banking (FCA regulations, MiFID II, Consumer Duty)Proficiency with project management tools (e.g. JIRA, MS Project, Confluence, Clarity)Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)Formal project management certification (PRINCE2, PMP, MSP, or equivalent) preferredNice to haveAvaloq certification(s) or prior Avaloq vendor-side experiencePRINCE2, PMP, MSP, or Agile/Scrum certificationExperience with Avaloq Front (AF) or Avaloq WealthPrior experience in a private bank, wealth manager, or Tier 1/2 banking institutionExperience managing programmes (multiple interdependent projects) rather than single projectsOtherLanguagesEnglish: C2 ProficientSenioritySeniorLondon, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern IrelandReq.
