Release Engineer – Java Maven 55-60k + bonus and benefitsQuant Capital is urgently looking for a Release Engineerto join our high profile client.Our client provides global technology services to the financial services industry specifically providing innovation, competitiveness and responsive IT that truly enables financial services. Their clients are the major investment banks and Asset Managers.As a Release Engineer you will own the test, build and release infrastructure for multiple projects. This will include designing and implementing processes and tools to support continuous integration and testing. In addition, the Release Engineer will be an advocate of good software engineering practices.Your responsibilities will be:Development and publishing of software and installation packages.Manage testing and release environments.Work with developers and testers to deliver quality applications.Evaluate new technologies for projects.Work with members of the tech team to build release and customize versions of the companies products.As a release engineer you must have:3 or more years of hand on release engineering experienceExperience with Java developmentExposure to Maven 2 build systemScripting experience in UNIX and Windows environmentsExperience with configuration management best practices, ability implement and support these practices.Experience with Subversion would be beneficialSkill and ability to work and manage multiple projects at the same timeExperience with the following would be a bonus; Websphere, JBoss, HudsonThis is a unique opportunity for someone to expand into an implementation role.
