When government agencies leverage the industry's best retail measurement and consumer intelligence data, they can adopt policies that are consistent with consumer behavior and most likely to succeed.In the role of UK Sales Director for Government and Public Sector, you will be responsible for leading large, complex sales engagements across our portfolio of NielsenIQ measurement solutions to our existing and new UK government and public sector clients, with a secondary focus on non-profit and academic institutions. This role will pioneer the development of commercial strategies to renew and achieve new business, building meaningful client relationships, and ultimately winning large contracts and closing deals. The successful candidate will join an expanding global team of 6+ high performing and high energy associates. This fast-paced team is excited to have a new member join our group to build on the momentum we have established and deliver against lofty but attainable growth goals.Responsibilities include:Leading sales of NielsenIQ's measurement solutions primarily to UK government and public sector agencies, with a secondary focus on non-profit and academic institutionsAchieving sales and strategic objectives by clearly articulating NielsenIQ's value proposition and use cases to decision makers specific to the product portfolio of responsibilityBuilding meaningful relationships with client stakeholders and teamsDriving effective GTM strategy for Public Sector Tenders, Bid and Framework opportunities (>1M) and leading the Tender Teams to successful outcomesIdentifying white space opportunities with our current and future clientsIdentifying best practice in key policy areas that are critical to the UK governmental client community to support build of NIQ Public Sector capability and credibilityRepresenting the voice of the customer to internal product development, product marketing, communications and delivery teamsWorking collaboratively with other product sales leads & cross functional partnersAchieving sales quota consistent with NielsenIQ margin goals and delivery expectationsGenerating sales leads and maintaining a best-practice pipeline of sales opportunities across a portfolio of government clients consistent with NielsenIQ's growth strategyAccurately forecasting the sales pipeline, areas of growth, areas of risk and prioritizing to close sales consistent with sales cycle normsWeaving client specific insights, industry material and thought leadership information into client conversations to build context and clarity to the outcomes our solutions can deliverOwning cross functional relationships and being a subject matter expert for your accounts and partners in a fast-paced environmentRequirements10 yrs+ experience selling to public sector, national government and intergovernmental bodies is essentialProven experience in working on public procurement tenders, bids and frameworks5+ years' experience selling data, analytics, or research-based solutionsNew business focused professional, experienced in working in both local and global teams and in connecting key internal stakeholders such as marketing, sales, finance and client service teams efforts to optimise opportunities for growthExperience in scoping and developing bids, proposals and negotiation strategies to close dealsA proven expert in client relationship building, client delivery and successful new business pursuit at the m++ levelProven record in achieving revenue and gross margin growth to deliver against targetsExcellent sales pipeline management skills with a track record of predictability and consistencyTrack record in developing professional services innovation and adaptation to meet client need gaps, plus tracking best-practiceAbility to effectively diagnose and remediate client satisfaction gaps in partnership with delivery teamsFamiliarity with HM Government commercial and spend rulesExperience navigating multi-stakeholder public sector buying committeesExposure to think tank or academic research procurement is a plus, given it follows a different buying process than formal government tendersFamiliarity with NielsenIQ data, tools, applications and platforms a plusProficient in Microsoft Office softwareA little bit about youSelf-starter who can successfully collaborate across diverse markets and offersCapability to multitask and adapt to a constantly changing, quick environmentBe able to successfully handle complexity and ambiguityStrong communication skills and relationship-building abilitiesYou can effectively tell a story that captures the audience, no matter what level, and you bring them along your journeyYou are able to work collaboratively as part of a remote team within a dynamic and challenging environment while maintaining high standardsAdditional InformationLocation can be anywhere in UKAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.The annual gross salary for this position ranges from GBP 52.400 to GBP 96.000. The final salary level will be determined based on relevant professional experience, qualifications, skills, and internal compensation structures.
