Senior DevOps Platform EngineerLondon We are currently supporting a leading organisation looking to hire an experienced Senior DevOps Platform Engineer to join their cloud engineering function.This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled DevOps professional to work on complex cloud-native environments, designing and automating scalable platforms across AWS, Kubernetes and modern CI/CD ecosystems.The successful candidate will play a key role in building resilient cloud platforms, improving deployment automation, supporting containerised applications and driving DevOps best practices across enterprise environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS environmentsDevelop and manage Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation and automation frameworksBuild and optimise CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions and GitOps methodologiesManage Kubernetes platforms including EKS, container orchestration, Helm deployments and cluster optimisationSupport application containerisation using Docker and Kubernetes-based architecturesImplement GitOps delivery models using tools such as ArgoCD and HelmDevelop reusable automation frameworks for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management and deploymentsImprove platform reliability, scalability and security through automation and engineering best practicesSupport cloud migrations from traditional data centre environments into modern cloud-native platformsImplement monitoring, observability and logging solutions across complex distributed systemsWork closely with development, security and architecture teams to improve software delivery processesRequired ExperienceStrong commercial experience working as a DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer or Cloud Infrastructure EngineerExtensive hands-on AWS experience including VPC, IAM, EC2, S3, Lambda,CloudWatch, ECS/EKS and networking servicesStrong Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform and/or CloudFormationStrong Kubernetes experience including EKS, Helm, RBAC, networking and container managementExperience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub Actions or similar toolsStrong understanding of Linux systems administration and cloud infrastructureExperience with containerisation technologies including Docker and KubernetesExperience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef or similarStrong scripting ability using languages such as Bash, Python or PowerShellUnderstanding of cloud security principles including IAM, encryption, vulnerability management and compliance controlsDesirable ExperienceExperience working within regulated industries such as financial services, government or healthcareExperience with GitOps practices and tools such as ArgoCDKnowledge of service mesh technologies including Istio or similarExperience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, New Relic, Splunk or ELKExperience supporting hybrid cloud environments across AWS, Azure, GCP or private cloudExperience with security tooling including Vault, SonarQube, OWASP, Checkov or vulnerability scanning solutionsExperience supporting highly available, business-critical platformsThis role would suit a Senior DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer or Cloud Automation Specialist looking to work on challenging enterprise environments.
