Acting as a trusted advisor to business and technology stakeholders, you will help shape future-state trading processes, operating models and ETRM-enabled capabilities across the energy value chain.This role is suited to practitioners who have spent time inside physical supply and trading functions – in front office, operations, scheduling or middle office – and can combine that first-hand experience with strong working knowledge of one or more leading ETRM platforms.Your ImpactServe as a subject matter expert across Physical Commodities trading business processes, spanning Crude, Refined Products, Gas and/or PowerBring practical front-to-back knowledge of physical commodity trading, including physical deal structures, deal capture, logistics and scheduling, nominations, actualisation, inventory, pricing, exposure, P&L, settlement, invoicing and accountingHelp clients make pragmatic design decisions on what should sit in the ETRM core, what should be handled through enterprise platforms, and where differentiated business capabilities should be enabled through data, analytics or workbenchesHelp define future-state operating models, business processes and transformation roadmaps for physical and bulk commodities Trading organisationsProvide expert guidance on how trading workflows, operational processes and ETRM platforms can be optimised to improve business outcomesSupport design decisions on process harmonisation, standardisation, localisation and platform fitmentTranslate complex commercial and operational requirements into clearly defined business capabilities, process designs and delivery objectivesFacilitate workshops with front office, middle office, operations and technology stakeholders to align business priorities and solution outcomesAct as the bridge between trading businesses and technology delivery teams, ensuring business requirements are effectively understood and deliveredChallenge current-state ways of working and help clients design practical, scalable and future-ready trading capabilitiesBuild trusted relationships with client stakeholders through deep industry expertise, practical Supply & Trading experience and strong consulting skillsContribute directly to client delivery as a hands-on practitioner, supporting business transformation and ETRM-enabled change initiativesHelp clients navigate the future of Energy Trading through modernisation, data-led operating models and evolving trading technology ecosystemsQualificationsYour Skills and ExperienceSignificant experience (15+ years) within Energy Trading environments, including time spent within a physical trading organisation (front office, operations, scheduling or middle office) rather than solely in consulting rolesDeep expertise within one or more Physical Commodities trading businesses - Crude, Refined Products, Gas or PowerStrong understanding of end-to-end Supply & Trading processes and operating modelsExperience working across one or more areas of the trading lifecycle, including trading, risk management, scheduling, logistics, operations, inventory management or settlement functionsWorking knowledge of one or more leading ETRM/CTRM platforms (e.g. Endur), including how trade capture, logistics, risk, settlement and accounting processes are represented within the platformDemonstrated ability to operate as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders within trading organisationsStrong understanding of how commercial processes, business workflows and ETRM platforms interact across Energy Trading organisationsExperience supporting business transformation, process optimisation or ETRM-enabled change initiativesProven ability to define, capture and translate business requirements into actionable delivery outcomesStrong communication, stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skillsAbility to engage effectively with both business and technology stakeholders across complex transformation programmesSet Yourself Apart WithExperience working across multiple Supply & Trading functions and/or multiple commodities (Crude, Refined Products, Gas, Power) within integrated energy organisationsExperience supporting large-scale Energy Trading transformation, ETRM migration or operating model change programmesKnowledge of both business process and ETRM platform capabilities, enabling effective translation between trading users and technology teamsExperience with global template design, process harmonisation, regional localisation and business readinessUnderstanding of how ETRM platforms integrate with SAP, market data, scheduling/logistics systems, data platforms and reporting ecosystemsAppreciation of the wider architecture and data ecosystem around the ETRM core -
