Our team of engineering experts are always innovating to improve the tools and technology that empower content developers worldwide.What You'll DoJoin Unreal Cloud Services, the team behind Lore (Epic's next-generation, open-source version control system built for the future of game development). You'll work at the boundary between editor and cloud, making distributed workflows, collaboration, and version control feel like a natural part of the creator experience. As Unreal evolves toward UE6, you'll help bring these capabilities together into a cohesive editor experience.In this role, you willBuild Unreal Editor features that bring cloud-based collaboration into everyday creator workflowsImplement responsive editor experiences that interact with asynchronous and distributed serviWork across editor, networking, storage, revision control, and UX systems to make cloud-backed workflows feel natural to Unreal EngiPartner with Product and UX teams to turn product ideas into clear, practical, and polished editor experiencesCollaborate with backend and infrastructure engineers on features that span the editor and cloud servicesUse modern development practices, including AI-assisted programming, to improve implementation, debugging, and iterationWhat we're looking forStrong C++ skills and experience working in a large native codebaseExperience building user-facing tools, editor features, and complex interactive workflowsExperience building clients that interact with asynchronous or networked servicesStrong understanding of parallelism, networking, latency, and failure handlingStrong eye for user experience and how technical behavior affects creator workflowsExperience working closely with Product, UX, and engineering teams to ship featuresExperience with Unreal Engine, another game engine, or comparable tools developmentExperience with Rust is a plusEPIC JOB + EPIC BENEFITS = EPIC LIFEWe pay 100% for benefits except for PMI (for dependents).
