Senior ITS Engineer

NegotiableManchester, England Contract Our client, a specialist consultancy in the highways sector, is currently seeking a Senior ITS Engineer to join their team on a contract basis, based in either Manchester or Birmingham. This role involves hands-on design work, directly supporting National Highways as well as assisting other consultancies and contractors.Key Responsibilities:Leading and implementing Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) design projectsCollaborating with National Highways and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality ITS solutionsProviding technical expertise and innovative design solutions for a variety of highways projectsEnsuring projects meet industry standards and regulatory requirementsMentoring and supporting junior engineers within the teamConducting site assessments and collecting necessary dataPreparing and reviewing technical documentation and reportsMaintaining effective communication with clients and project teamsJob Requirements:Proven experience in ITS engineering, particularly within the highways sectorIn-depth knowledge of ITS design principles and relevant technologiesDemonstrated ability to oversee and execute complex design projectsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExperience with relevant software and tools used in ITS designAbility to work both independently and as part of a collaborative teamEngineering degree or equivalent qualification in a related field
