This is a permanent opportunity based in Bristol, offering the chance to work on complex, mission-focused engineering in a highly regulated environment.Because of the nature of the work, regular on-site working is required and there are eligibility and security requirements.The role You'll support the systems design and development of complex solutions across the full engineering lifecycle. Typical responsibilities include:Supporting system design from concept through development, integration and supportWorking with architecture and delivery teams to define and manage functional behaviourAnalysing requirements and interfaces, identifying gaps and proposing improvementsProducing clear, structured systems documentation (requirements, design artefacts, interface definitions)Supporting issue investigation, change impact assessment and technical queriesContributing to engineering reviews and ensuring robust, traceable design decisionsWhat we're looking forExperience in systems engineering / systems design within complex, regulated, or safety-critical environmentsStrong requirements mindset: able to turn stakeholder needs into clear, testable requirementsGood understanding of interfaces and integration challenges across multi-disciplinary teamsDegree qualified (or equivalent experience) in an engineering or relevant technical disciplineClear communication and a methodical approach to problem-solvingEligibility / security Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply.
